I'm establishing some new business relationships with new suppliers and one just sent me an email with a phrase that I don't understand. He seems to be mixing or smashing concepts together. Here is what he wrote:
"Our minimum opening order is $ 500.00 FOB Kalamazoo."
I get the minimum opening order. But FOB is a shipping concept, isn't it? What is he saying here, that it's $500 plus whatever it costs to ship from Kalamazoo?
