How To Decide Partnership Percentage in a partnership firm

We want to start a business in partnership with 50-50 share

We are going for a loan for startups and i'm providing the security for the loan. Now after taking loan we will be repaying as per our shares but my question is do i need to have more control since i'm taking all the liability or it should be same 50-50.

My family says since i'm taking more risk i should have more share in the company.
