Media training

Can you trust reporters.

The short answer is yes of course they can. But like any business or industry there are bad apples about.

The key for you is to source the good ones, and then build a relationship with them.

The media loves a story, and if you are giving the media stories then they will be grateful.

However it must be a two way street In other words, there needs to be something in it for you as well.

And most reporters will understand that.

If you build a solid relation with a member of the media the rewards for both can be significant.

However the moment you start to lie or the reporter lets you down, it’s time to either have a heart to heart, or end the relationship.

If for example you run a company, and you decide to offer the story to your media contact instead of releasing the story to everyone.

That reporter owes you a favor.

And you can cash in that favor down the track.

Media training teaches you to build strong relationships with reporters that run stories on subjects that affect you.
