I've just joined the community and would like to offer help building Analytics tools for your small business :). If you have/get lines of data in any format, and you wish there was an easy way to summarize and review the way you WANT to view it, I'm your guy. Check out my bio for a bit about my background. In this post, I'll talk about the type of tools I've built for other small businesses, and you can reach out to me if you think you could use something like this.
Example 1
Context: Small beer company (Mother and son owned): They get weekly data from stores about sales and inventory, but it's all a big mess, and they were either spending hours trying to decipher the data, or not looking at it all
How I helped: I built them a tool where they can dump the data in every week, and click an update button on a report that would summarize all of the information in the way they wanted to see it. It helped them identify stores that needed more inventory, and also uncover insights about their business. It helped them gain extra distribution and saved them hours every week.
How I was compensated: With beer, haha.
Example 2
Context: Small insurance brokerage (husband and wife owned): They have hundreds of lines of data about their policies (type of policy, premium, commission, etc), and similar to example one, they were not using the data or were wasting hours trying to answer questions for insurance company partners.
How I helped: Built them 2 tools, 1 that would track performance and create a 2016 business forecast, and a 2nd that would allow them to get a snapshot of each employees customer portfolio, so the owner can provide individualized coaching
How I was compensated: $100 for about 10 hours of work
