My girlfriend's grandmother's friend is a patent attorney, who I talked to at a Christmas money, and she offered to conduct a patent search for free to help us out. She told me she would call me if she figures out anything, and also told me that she would do it if she has time (as it is free). Today I got a call from her telling me that our idea is indeed patented, by what looks like a patent troll. What do I do now? Abandon the idea completely and just focus on my side business? (which is selling websites and domain names along with managing domains to sell)?
