Hi, I'm curious what you guys are using for your CRM software. We are a three person business and currently have some information in each of our email accounts, some in Batchbook, some on notes on papers on our desks. I am a new-hire and my main focus right now is working on ways to identify processes... going from a two person business to three requires that we have a good way to organize ourselves so that things don't fall through the cracks. We definitely need a better way to get things organized and maintain records of our communication with those we work with and each other.
I thought Batchbook might be a good solution for us, but the interface is incredibly clunky and user-unfriendly to me, it doesn't seem to be a complete solution for us. Here's what I'm looking for:
- Manage general contacts: sharing contact information with each other (similar to the global address book my large company had), but contact information is pulled/pushed whether a contact is entered initially from either an email/contacts app or from the CRM database - I want them constantly syncing with each other.
- Manage communication with contacts: be able to identify different types of contacts (i.e. buyer, seller, investor) so that we can pull information in groups, send blast emails using mail chimp (or similar app), be our one stop shop for all notes regarding communication with contacts so no matter which one of us deals with a contact we can all enter notes with details and see each other's notes
- Include some project management / todo lists: with delegation and reminders for follow up for both assigner and receiver of assigned tasks, plus a shared task list so we can all three take care of random tasks that don't require assignment to a specific person
- Not be Internet browser-based: I don't know why I find it cumbersome to have to use an internet browser for email, databases, etc., but I do. I'd really prefer an app that stands on it's own.
- Some customizability: not totally custom, most of our information is really basic, but we would like to be able to name our fields appropriately and delete things that don't belong
- Accounting capabilities not necessary: we won't be using our CRM for billing or tracking accounting information
- Email: we are currently using gmail so are definitely willing to change to a different email/contact interface if there is one that would work seamlessly with a good CRM
Is what I'm looking for completely unreasonable?? Thanks for any suggestions... :)
