Syndicated Data Sources

Are there syndicated data sources for small businesses? I've use IRI and Nielsen in the past while working in a corporate role, but I assume IRI and Nielsen would be too spendy for the average small business owner. What other data sources do some of you use to analyze your business? Thank you to all for your help! KB
