How to Look Up 1099 Tax Return Status from IRS Site

After you filed 1099 forms to IRS Fire system, it is the filer’s responsibility to check the status of submitted 1099 files. If you do not receive an email within five (5) business days or if you receive an email indicating the file is bad, log back into the IRS FIRE System and select “Check File Status”.
